Folsom Lake is a reservoir in Northern California near Sacramento. The reservoir is fomed by the Folsom Dam. The lake was 97% full in 2011 whereas as of 2014 the water level is just at 17% of the total capacity due to recent droughts. As a result of this a ghost town that was flooded when the dam was built resurfaced. The name of the town was Mormon Island and the town flourished during the golden-rush
