Quokkas live in the south-western part of Australia. They were the first mammals that were seen by the Europeans when they first arrived in Australia. However, Europeans, at first, mistook Quokkas for giant rats and called the island, where Quokkas are most widespread, Rottnest. Quokka’s weigh up to 5 kg and are up to 90 cm long. Quokkas love people, they often approach them closely and they have the happiest facial expression among all the animals.
